Dishing on "How I Met Your Mother"
It's official....there are no more new episodes of "How I Met Your Mother" to catch up on until January 16th. I'm really going to miss my marathons of 6-8 episodes every weekend. I know I'll probably start catching up on "The Big Bang Theory" soon, but I may try to watch some movies so I don't try to piggyback off HIMYM too soon. Anyway, I wanted to share a list of my favorite episodes from season one all the way through season seven.
Season 1, Episode 10: The Pineapple Incident: "Vomit free since '93!"
Season 1, Episode 15: Game Night: Great episode where we get some history on Barney and learn about everyone's embarrassing moments.
Season 2, Episode 7: Swarley: The "crazy eyes" thing was hilarious and I love the moment between Lily and Marshall. Plus, the plays on the name "Swarley" are great!
Season 2, Episode 9: Slap Bet: You'll never look at a mall the same way again. :)
Season 2, Episode 14: Monday Night Football: This reminds me of myself when I don't want to know what happened on a TV show until I've watched it.
Season 3, Episode 5: How I Met Everyone Else: Makes me kind of hungry for a sandwich. :) Seriously, it's fun to learn about how everyone met each other, even if they don't remember all the details.
Season 3, Episode 8: Spoiler Alert: Actually, this is literally the funniest episode of the season. It makes me want to sing!
Season 4, Episode 2: The Best Burger in New York: Gotta love a good quest!
Season 4, Episode 11: Little Minnesota: Why there's a Minnesota themed bar in Manhattan, we'll never know. It's just a really funny episode.
Season 4, Episode 22: Right Place Right Time: It's cool to see how a chain of events can affect the outcome of one's life.
Season 5, Episode 8: The Playbook: I laugh every time I see all of Barney's crazy attempts to pick up women. The wink just seals the deal!
Season 5, Episode 12: Girls Vs. Suits: If nothing else, just to see Barney's awesome musical scene!
Season 5, Episode 16: Hooked: A very clever episode, featuring Carrie Underwood and an adorable teacup pig!
Season 6, Episode 4: Subway Wars: I love how this episode was orchestrated.
Season 6, Episode 9: Glitter: Another hilarious glimpse into Robin's past.
Season 6, Episode 13: Bad News: There's a countdown in this episode, which makes the final moment that much more powerful.
Season 7, Episode 7: Noretta: Gotta love an episode that features Weird Al!
If the above reasons don't make you run out to get the first six seasons on DVD, I don't know what else will convince you that this show is legen-wait for it-dary!
